Live Streaming
Jetstream Studio supports live streaming via three input protocols. SRT is recommended for all new setups.
Supported protocols
- SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) Recommended. Low latency, error correction, stable over unreliable networks.
- RTMP / RTMPS - widely supported by all encoders. Use RTMPS for encrypted transport.
- WHIP - WebRTC-based ingest for browser-based streaming tools.
Platform requirements
All encoders must meet these requirements regardless of protocol:
- Video codec: H.264
- Audio codec: AAC
- Rate control: CBR VBR is not supported
- Keyframe interval: 4 seconds exactly
- Maximum bitrate: 12,000 Kbps
- Recommended bitrate: 8,000 Kbps
